The listing includes both BTC and USDT pairs for the BICO, BMT, NIL, and GWEI tokens. Upbit did not provide a specific reason for the three-hour delay, though it cautioned that further postponements remain possible if deposit levels fail to meet internal liquidity requirements. The exchange warned users that transfers must strictly adhere to designated networks: BICO, NIL, and GWEI require Ethereum, while BMT is restricted to Solana.

Upbit Delays Listing of Four Altcoins in South Korea
South Korean exchange Upbit pushed back the launch of eight new trading pairs for Biconomy, Bubblemaps, Nillion, and ETHGas on August 21. Originally set for 13:00 KST, the debut was rescheduled for 16:00 KST, with the exchange citing a need to ensure sufficient liquidity before opening the markets.

Trading will commence with temporary safeguards to mitigate volatility. For the first five minutes, buy orders are restricted, and sell orders priced more than 10% below the reference closing price will be blocked. Additionally, only limit orders will be permitted for the first two hours of market activity. Upbit maintains strict compliance protocols, noting that large deposits may trigger requests for source-of-funds evidence, and transfers from exchanges failing to meet Travel Rule standards may face processing delays.
