The partnership targets the National Storage auction promoted by Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy, combining CATL’s proprietary storage hardware with Moura’s domestic manufacturing presence. To meet local content requirements, the project will also include a third strategic partner specializing in power conversion systems. This expansion builds on CATL’s existing 45% market share in Brazil, currently anchored by the Registro transmission project, which has supported power stability for two million residents since 2022.
Beyond the partnership, CATL is introducing its latest storage lineup to the South American market. This includes the TENER S system, designed for 20-year lifespans with zero capacity degradation in its first year, and the new TENER Sodium unit, which offers stable performance across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +45°C. To manage these installations, the company is scaling its regional service network, which currently employs over 140 certified engineers and a tiered response system capable of on-site dispatch within two days.
