The new policy, dubbed the “100% Rule,” mandates that all funds received from Pyth Pro subscriptions, the Data Marketplace, and Pyth Indices be utilized for PYTH accumulation. Previously, these acquisitions required individual governance votes and were limited to a portion of the non-PYTH treasury. By automating the process, the DAO has established a permanent mechanism for demand, with purchases already underway as of late September.
This governance overhaul coincides with a period of significant growth for the network. Pyth reported $11.5 million in annual recurring revenue for September, an 86% increase from the previous quarter. The platform has expanded its reach, now tracking over 3,811 symbols and providing data for major financial entities, including Nasdaq. The project’s reserve currently holds approximately 42 million tokens, which the organization plans to leverage to support ongoing development and ecosystem contributors.
