Pi Network Struggles at $0.08 Threshold Amid Bearish Indicators

Pi Network is testing the $0.08 support level as downward momentum intensifies on the daily charts. Trading at $0.08006 on OKX, the token has shed 16.4% over the past month, failing to sustain rebounds that previously pushed the price toward the $0.10 mark throughout August and September.

The current technical outlook remains heavily weighted toward the downside. On the daily timeframe, the Supertrend indicator sits at $0.09177, acting as a persistent ceiling that the asset has failed to breach. This bearish sentiment is mirrored by the Aroon Down reading, which stands at 71.43% against a weak 14.29% Aroon Up, signaling that recent price action is defined more by fresh lows than by any meaningful recovery attempts.

Short-term volatility has pushed the token beneath its lower 4-hour Bollinger Band at $0.08041, suggesting an extension of the selling pressure. While trading volume surged 53.5% to reach $4.46 million, this spike in activity occurred alongside the price decline, pointing to aggressive selling rather than accumulation. If the $0.07950 session low fails to hold, the token risks sliding toward its July support zone near $0.075, keeping it significantly distanced from its historical peak of $2.99.

Market interest in the token has also cooled, with futures open interest dropping 15.8% to $8.86 million. As the community looks toward the scheduled Open Network transition on February 20, 2025, the project—led by Stanford doctorate holders Nicolas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan—faces a challenging technical landscape. For a recovery to gain traction, the price must reclaim the $0.08041 lower band and the $0.08204 midpoint before addressing the broader resistance established by the daily Supertrend.
