TCL Asset Group Inc. has secured the contract to manage the sale of the surplus inventory, which includes entire waste crushing lines, biomass shredding systems, and industrial dryers. Much of the equipment remains in its original crates, accompanied by extensive stockpiles of new MRO stores, spare parts, and conveyor systems. Beyond the machinery, the sale offers a rare opportunity to acquire or lease the land and existing infrastructure located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.

TCL Asset Group Lists Surplus Assets from StormFisher Varennes Facility
A massive collection of industrial waste and biomass processing equipment, originally intended for a facility in Varennes, Quebec, is heading to market. Built between 2022 and 2024 but never commissioned, the unused machinery is being liquidated as the site undergoes a transition into a low-carbon methanol plant.

The liquidation process begins immediately through private negotiated sales, with a formal auction scheduled for late October 2026. CEO Terrance Jacobs noted that the never-commissioned status of the facility provides a significant opportunity for buyers in the recycling and pellet production sectors. Interested parties may inspect the site by appointment, though TCL warns that high-demand lots are expected to move quickly through private channels before the public auction commences.
