Svea Mining Completes First Field Exploration in Northern Sweden

Svea Mining AB has concluded its inaugural field exploration program across the Kalvträsk and Stöverfors projects in northern Sweden’s Skellefteå district. The company has submitted collected soil, rock chip, and grab samples to an accredited laboratory, marking the first systematic modern-methods assessment of these historic mineral-rich properties.

The exploration program focused on 7,000 hectares at Kalvträsk and roughly 452 hectares at Stöverfors. Geological teams conducted systematic soil sampling, outcrop mapping, and mineralized float collection to identify geochemical anomalies. These efforts target potential gold, copper, and silver deposits within a region historically known for high-grade production, including the legacy of the Boliden mine. Previous historical samples from these sites have indicated gold grades reaching 32 g/t at Stöverfors and 20 g/t at Kalvträsk, though the areas have remained largely untested by modern drilling techniques.

Management views the completion of this program as a critical step in de-risking the projects. By implementing rigorous chain-of-custody protocols and contemporary analytical methods, the company aims to move toward a maiden drill program. Future operations depend on the upcoming laboratory results, which are expected to define the most promising targets for subsurface testing. The Skellefteå district remains a strategic focus for Svea Mining, given its long-standing geological importance and the current global demand for metals essential to AI, defense, and green energy infrastructure.
