Rheem Launches Universal Endeavor Heat Pump for Residential HVAC
Atlanta-based HVAC manufacturer Rheem has introduced its Endeavor Line Classic Plus Series Top-Discharge Universal Heat Pump, an ENERGY STAR-certified system engineered for broad compatibility. The unit utilizes R-454B refrigerant and variable-speed technology to balance heating and cooling performance across both new construction and existing residential replacement projects.

Jeff Goss, director of product management at Rheem North America, emphasized that the design prioritizes contractor efficiency through features like the PlusOne Triple Service Access and Bluetooth-enabled diagnostics accessible via mobile apps. The system also integrates the PlusOne Refrigerant Detection System, which monitors for leaks and pauses operation if necessary. Beyond installation logistics, the unit includes a variable-speed twin rotary compressor that adjusts output from 35% to 100%, allowing for precise temperature and humidity management. With sound levels as low as 55dBA, the heat pump is also qualified for cold-climate operation, positioning it as a versatile option for northern U.S. residential markets.
