The latest distribution includes $130,000 earmarked for critical capital projects. Specifically, 360 Communities will receive $100,000 for the Lewis House Shelter, which provides refuge for families escaping domestic violence. An additional $30,000 is headed to Our Neighbors’ Place to support the construction of a facility in River Falls, Wisconsin, designed to address local homelessness and poverty.

Beyond direct housing support, the foundation is investing $120,000 into the broader building ecosystem. This allocation targets trade education and manufacturing training programs, including initiatives at Summit Academy OIC, Twin Cities R!SE, and the University of St. Thomas CNC Bootcamps. By funding these programs, Andersen aims to cultivate the skilled labor force required for high-performance construction.

Eliza Chlebeck, Vice President of the Andersen Corporate Foundation, described the grantmaking as a holistic strategy that bridges emergency shelter with long-term stability. The selection process relies on local employee committees, allowing staff in regions such as the Twin Cities, Des Moines, and Garland to identify and recommend organizations that meet the specific needs of their respective communities.
