After serving as interim leader since February, Brett Malone has been appointed the permanent CEO of Boston-based auction marketplace Invaluable. Brett Malone Named Permanent CEO of Auction Marketplace Invaluable

Malone’s transition follows a period of significant fiscal expansion for the firm. During his tenure as interim head, Invaluable reported a record first quarter with gross merchandise sales reaching $125 million, a 17% increase compared to the previous year. This upward trajectory continued into the spring, with May net GMS growth hitting 20%. Beyond headline figures, Malone has prioritized technical modernization, including the Q4 launch of a new shipping service now utilized by more than 50 auction houses.

Looking forward, the company intends to pivot toward artificial intelligence to streamline bidding experiences and improve platform efficiency. Malone plans to leverage his 15 years of experience in the technology sector to further bridge the gap between international collectors and the 5,000 global auction houses currently using the marketplace. By focusing on site personalization and the expansion of auction management software, the company aims to sustain the momentum built over the last eighteen months.
